Since our previous event in New York was a full house and quite some of you did not get a chance to attend, we are organizing another meetup in NYC together with Consciousness Club on April, 5th.
You can look forward to meeting General AI Challenge team, learning more about the first round tasks,
and reflecting on a talk by Julian Togelius (Professor, New York University):
"Are video games the perfect environments for developing artificial
general intelligence? Which kind of general intelligence?"
Games, particularly video games, are increasingly used to test artificial intelligence.
But what sort of intelligence is it that we want to develop? It appears to be possible to play individual games
very well without actually being intelligent. Would general video game playing, where you develop agents that can play any game, lead us to general intelligence? In that case, which type of general intelligence?
